I'M NEW - WHAT TO EXPECT
Many times, attending a church for the first time can be intimidating. Don’t worry. Everyone is welcome at First Baptist. Perfect people are the only ones you won’t see here! You will find a warm family-friendly atmosphere. We’re just regular people who realize that we need God and a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and are learning how to fulfill His purpose for our lives. We study the Bible together to find meaningful, practical, real-life answers that God has for us in His Word.
TIME FRAME
Our worship service starts at 10:00 AM and generally ends by 11:30 AM. You are invited to fellowship with us after the service and share coffee and refreshments. This gives us all an opportunity to get to know one another better – ministering to one another, and sharing about what God is doing in our lives.
WORSHIP
A greeter will provide you with a worship guide that clearly outlines the worship service, which is led by the pastor. It will also inform you of news, upcoming meetings and events at church or the community.

SERMON
Every week, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and designed to lead worshipers to deeper faith, with practical application for your daily life. We trust these messages will help you begin and develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong Biblical foundation for your life. Most weeks, the message is given by Reverend David Hall. However, we do have periodic special speakers when Pastor David is on vacation or a missionary is visiting us.
OFFERING
Worship means giving ourselves completely to God. Part of our worship experience each week is a time for the First Baptist family to give back to the Lord our tithes and offerings. As a guest, you may give financially to support the ministry of First Baptist if you wish, but please do not feel obligated to do so.
VISITOR'S CARD
As a guest, we ask you to fill out a Visitor’s Card and put it in the offering basket as it comes by in the service. We will not put you on any mailing list, but we do want to send you a note acknowledging your visit and saying “Thanks for being our guest”. You may also share prayer requests, request a visit from the pastor or put down anything else you would like to communicate with us.
COMMUNION
On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate communion together, open to all those who have personally received God’s gift of salvation, who proclaim Christ as their Lord and Savior, and are committed to following Him.
PARKING
Parking is available on the street in front of the church, but there is also parking behind the church, accessible by the driveway at the south end of the building. In the back you will find designated spaces for handicapped parking. The church is accessible from the front through either of two front entrances. From the back parking lot, you will enter through the Fellowship Hall; the sanctuary is adjacent to the Fellowship Hall.

DRESS CODE
You will see people dressed in a variety of ways. Some dress casually and others trendy. Some may come right from the night shift work and others wear a suit. We really aren’t worried how formal or informal your attire is, but how we look should be God-honoring.
MUSIC
We sing both traditional hymns - accompanied by the organ or piano - and praise songs - usually accompanied by guitar. In addition to the choir, we sometimes have special music provided by those who are gifted with various music abilities.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
We provide special ministry for children through age eight while the adults and older children/youth remain in the worship service. The children are dismissed from the worship service following the Opening Prayer. All teachers and child-care workers are experienced in working with children, have been approved by our board and completed background checks.
Our Sunday School is designed to help kids learn about God in a way that is appropriate for their age and is very upbeat. They learn biblically-based lessons through music, stories, games, crafts and activities. Kids love Sunday School! We use an ID bracelet system for Sunday School, and your child will be signed in and then signed out when they leave.
Parents are welcome to have younger children remain in the worship service if they choose. There is a room at the back of the sanctuary available for parents with infants and small children if needed. However, we would encourage you to make use of our wonderful Jr. Church ministry; it will be a great blessing for your kids!
Please pick up your children promptly after the service .
